Cliff Scaling in the Peak District

Plant-Based Cooking in the Algarve
This sun-drenched culinary holiday, located at a riverside villa in the inland Portuguese region, is inspired by the vegetarian dishes of renowned chefs. Attendees will learn to produce selection of small dishes, attend a falafel-making workshop, refine mid-morning meals such as shakshuka, and make substantial main courses including a rich mushroom stew and moussaka. The schedule includes trips to the local market and a local vineyard to taste local vintages, combined with leisure time for walks by the Funcho River, to unwind on the terrace or take a dip in the infinity pool. Creative Writing in Crete
Writer and lecturer Greg Mosse leads the daily workshops on this authors' getaway. He explores everything from story structure, character development, locations and tension, to submitting work to agents. A co-host, the bestselling author Kate Mosse, will participate in events at the start and finish of the retreat. The retreat is held at a traditional complex in Vamos at the base of the Lefka Ori – ten one- and two-bedroom cottages surround a central garden with a pool (companions are welcome to come along). On the final evening, budding authors mark the occasion with a concert in the garden and a final meal.
