Plane Carrying US Defense Secretary Forced to Land in UK Due to Fracture in Cockpit Window

An aircraft carrying Pete Hegseth was forced to make an unplanned landing in the UK on Wednesday following a fracture was identified in the plane's windshield, according to an official announcement which verified that all passengers were secure.

"The jet landed following standard procedures and all passengers, such as Defense Secretary Hegseth, is unharmed," a press officer commented in a social media post.

The secretary was coming back from a brief trip to the Belgian capital at the time.

This event isn't the first occasion that a American defense plane ferrying a high-ranking official has encountered equipment failures.

Earlier this year, a United States Air Force aircraft transporting Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was required to head back to Washington after experiencing a technical issue.
