The First Xbox Game Pass Games of 2026 Show Xbox Is Still Fighting.

Everywhere you go, enthusiasts continue to ring the funeral bells for the Xbox brand. Microsoft's console just got outsold by a platform few have heard of. Dedicated Xbox communities began covering regarding Sony's platform for the first time. 2025 was complete chaos for the Xbox ecosystem. However, judging purely by the upcoming Game Pass lineup in 2026, it is apparent that Microsoft continues to plan to engage players with compelling titles on its key platform.

The Available Now Titles

The two games that are immediately available as you read this, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, aren't the showstoppers. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's worth getting excited about.

Significant Forthcoming Releases

On Jan. 13, Game Pass will add the often-overlooked Star Wars Outlaws, a sprawling adventure that breaks up the standard Ubisoft formula with an intergalactic heist adventure. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village with its iconic tall vampire, which our 2021 review called "the perfect cocktail of horror and action."

Compelling Indie Titles

But even the smaller games set to join the catalog deserve recognition. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, a fantastic but under-the-radar dungeon crawler that is incredibly fun, arrives January 7th — and it's worth experiencing whether or not you experienced the first Lost in Random game.

This UK-developed survival title from last year could captivate you within just a quarter of an hour.

Atomfall, a survival title with stealth elements by the makers of Sniper Elite, is also a game to check out. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to look forward to.

A Well-Rounded Collection

Ultimately, these aren't the most groundbreaking additions to Game Pass, and they are also not first-party juggernauts that justify the service by themselves. But Microsoft's additions here are very dependable. It offers a healthy blend of older titles you may have skipped and new-ish games that didn't get the attention they were due initially — which makes them perfect candidates to experience a revival on Game Pass.

Be prepared to bid farewell to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, as it happens.
